But lets be honest. This is so much better than college sports can ever be.

Christmas Eve

...

Started on the eve of that wonderful day. The goat himself Brother Huang (hes the guy in a previous email that gave us like $800 worth of clothes) was visiting from the island. So being the awesome and gracious guy that he is, he took us to this super duper boujee Japanese reteraunt. That stuff was straight heat. So flippin good. True christ like man right there. After that I was able to hit up the clarks at there annual party. I know that that party was a little less fun because I wasn't there, and here I offer my apologies. Give it a couple years and the party will be back in buisness. After finishing up on the phone with the fam, and exactlly an hour after finishing at the Japanese reteraunt. We arrived at the next memebr meal of the day. And let me tell you. I was stuffed at that point. But, arriving at the Liang's, we were fed a meal of costco. Lasagna, egg rolls, beef, salad, and drinks. All from costco. Let me tell you again. Costco is straight heat. I unlocked new limits, and ate even more food. We then read Luke 2 with them, and it was epic. Finished off the nigth with calling the fam and watching Mickey's Christmas Carol with them. Through the 5 fps of the video call, I truly felt the christmas spirit. It was blessed.

Christmas Day

...

Woke up, tossed christmas music on the speaker, woke up the elders, and partied. After that, I was able to call the fam again, so blessed, and opened gifts and spent christmas morning with them. Shoutout mom whos the goat. I freakin got Legos!!! (pics coming soon) We then had a member brunch with the Youngs. They're from south Africa, and they were so cool. American Style Breakfast at it's finest. FREEEEDOOMMM!!! It was soooo good. They then gave us a giant Toblerone and $20 smoothie gift card. They were so awesome. Went caroling. It's funny to watch Asians reactions when we show up to there house and start singing at them cus they have no idea what's going on. But no doors slammed or shut, so that was pleasant. Then us three sets of white rock missionaries made dinner together and had a great time.

Great Christmas. Everyone always says their ones to remember, and I can attest to that.

The rest of the week was back to pretty normal.

Friday we were able to attend a massive service project, called Food Hampers, and we filled all these baskets with so much food, and helped deliver them. It was so awesome, and it's so awesome to see people take a step and do their best to help those in need. There are so many awesome people out there trying to make a difference, and I was super grateful I got to help out a little bit. Then I packed up and headed to Richmond for exchanges.

Saturday exchange we had a lesson with their friend Jack who I had met in Vancouver. So it was fun to see him again, and he took us out to Fresh Slice.

Sunday we met with our Chinese group and they're awesome. It's gonna be a fun transfer.

Monday we taught english class, and the people here who attend it are actually amazing. Teaching english class lowkey might be one of my favorite things to do. It's so much fun. Got blaze pizza again. Then had a lesson with Pei Jia. He's super awesome

Today was baller. Elder On took a bunch of us to 海底捞火锅。hot pot is sooooo goated. All you can eat for three hours is crazy work. But work I ver much enjoyed.

Our mission has a new challenge that started on Christmas Ever. It's to read the Book of Mormon completly by Easter. If ya'll would like to join, I challenge you. It's a little late, but super dope, soooooo, just do it.

As I was reading 1 Nephi 11, a couple things stood out. This chapter is when Nephi is caught up in the vision with the Spirit of the Lord. Two things that the Sprit says multiple times are "what desirest though?" and "Look!"

Those two things have stood out to me my whole mission. Desire and Look. I think those two things describe what faith is. The want, then the action. Faith starts with a desire. It's the desire to want to know, the desire to want to be better, the desire to want to have better, the desire to be happy. Once we have the desire, the Lord tells us to Look! He knows the direction our life needs to go if we want to have Joy on this earth and the life to come. Then He tells us to Look! I think looking can mean so many things. Look! means to take action, to progress on His path. To look towards Heaven and to look for ways to always be improving. To look at Him. It's two simple steps. Desire and Look!
