WEEK 38 RICHMOND: In The Realm Of Lacrosse Warriors ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿฅ

I think you know the rest.

Just a little shoutout to them!

Let's Goooooo! There's a new champ in town! I'm so pumped and hyped for them. Congrats to my boys! Best news ever!

Besides the fact that Skyridge lacrosse is the goat. This week was equally as amazing. Blessing, miracles, lots of work, just straight epicness.

Wednesday we went out to eat with a member Yao, and a non-active member Meimiao. It was such a good time. I really hope we can keep helping Meimiao come back to church, shes so amazing.

Also great news!! PeiJia is getting baptized! I'm actually so hyped about this. Me and Elder On started re-teaching him when we got to white rock forever ago. And all the lesson were so awesome. But he went to China at the end of the transfer, and dind't get back until I left white rock. Then when he got back, he was miraculously able to get a part-time job, which allowed him to finally feel like he could pay tithing. And he gets baptized on Sunday! It's so cool.

Thursday we had mission tour. We had Elder and Sister Goury of the 70 visiting us. All the talks were straight heat. And what was even better, is that Sister Goury had the voice of an old english grandma which was incredibly soothing. I want her to start reading me bedtime stories. But lots of ball knowldge learned, and revelation recieved, so it was super hype. We also had a cool miracle after, where the Lord switched up our planes so that we drove past one of our friends named 4. We texted him and were able to just got to the mall with him, and have a lesson and gave him a B.O.M. We've been trying to meet with him forever, so that was pretty epic.

Hit a cheeky Caesars run

Friday woke up with some morning ball. Straight ballin. Then met a super cool couple. But lowkey also crazy. The wife was from Taiwan, and the husband from BeiJIng. Like bro, I've never seen em' mixed. Crazy. But they 'insisted' on buying us boba. Couldn't say no. Also ๆ„Ÿ่ฐขไธป, got a new MSF card. #Notbrokenomore.  Blessed.  Finished the night with a Han Wei Hua lesson. We locked down on bro, and brought TWO members. He ain't escaping us.

Saturday. Such a happy day. The moment I saw the first picture of the boys and the trophy, brought a smile to my face ๐Ÿ˜. And it was nice to dawg on one of my roomies who's from Corner Canyon ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜.  We showed up to the mall Saturday morning even though we couldn't get in contact with James, but he was there and we taught him. Miracle. Got back and had a lesson with Tian. It was actually super fire. Talked to him all about faith and why we need it. Not just philosophy... ๆ…ขๆ…ขๆฅ. He's super cool though. Had a lesson with Li, and got to talk to him about the importance of the sacrament. Then went and grabbed food with Anne, came back and had a lesson with her. She's locked in. Passed tithing without a question. So prayers up for Saturday, cus that's when she's getting baptized๐Ÿ˜Ž, I'm so hyped. She's so cool.

Then Pinged the Pong

Sunday was epic. Chen ๅฆˆๅฆˆed it up. The went to church. It was great. We did the mock interview with Anne first hour. Then finished up with sacrament. But Tian came which was great. AND HAN CAME!! That was the biggest miracle. We've been trying so hard, and finally he came and loved it. Had an insane 2.5 hour lesson with Robbie. It was partially just so much yap, but also super good, because we finally found out exactly where he's at on his spiritual journey. So that was helpful. Our member was such a saint for sitting through all of it. Blessed members fr.

Then Monday. Crazy Good. Weekly planned a bunch. And guess what

Huang Qing Fa is back baby!!!

So he took us out to eat. The food was amazing, and we even got to have a really good convo with the waitress. She's finna pull up to English class. That that was a cool lil miracle. Huang Qing Fa is a king though. Then he took us to his apartment he has here in Richmond, which both of us had no idea about. Bro even bought Elder Barnes a top tier Chinese phone๐Ÿ˜‚. What a guy. Then hit the weekly math sesh. And finished the night of with weekly planning and language study.

But cool thing that happened. Things didn't go to 'plan'. Which really just means everything went according to 'the plan'. We got to the library and I notice a Chinese guy talking through Google translate to the worker. So I turn to Elder Barnes and am like, bro, go help him. (His Chinese is way better than mine. So obv I ain't bought to go embarrass myself) jk. But he went over there and I grinded out my Chinese talk. But after I went and joined them. And apparently bro is super duper cool. Like super Elect. He's also a professional private chef, and wants to cook for us. But he's super interested in learning, and it was just such a cool miracle.

It was a great week
Always is

Mission Tour, there was some fire lines

One I want to share is this.

We are all promised to be ressurected. We are all promised to be resurectted with a perfect body. All of us. All of us broken and unperfect people. Are given the chance to be made whole.

But one person doesn't get that blessing.

The only perfect person ever to live on this earth, is the only person that will never have a perfect body.

And that person is Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ has scars. Forever will He have those scars. Because of this, He will do whatever He can to help us. He knows that all of us have our own personnel scars. But the Savior knows that. He forever will know that. And has the reminder of Love always engraven upon His palms and feet. The love of the fact He did everything for each one of us. His atonement is infinite, so is the reminder, but His atonment is individual. Those eternal scars are for your sake, for my sake. We can reach out and grab His scar hand, and realize we are never. Ever. Alone.

Jesus Is King!

WEEK 37 RICHMOND: Dim Sum..More Like... So Much Fun

Welp, I'm officially gonna get fat. It's the Richmond curse.

Also got chastised for being a slow eater

What has this world turned too?

The ice cream I eat, will never be as good as the one on that special day. In the Happiest Place on Earth ๐Ÿฅฒ

I digress though...

Wednesday was lowkey pretty great. We had district council in the high council room, big chairs, cool white board. Felt pretty important myself. Then had a lesson with Li, and lemme tell ya...it was fire. We played Jeopardy. So we do questions from all lessons. It's great, and it gives them the opportunity to bear their testimony. And it was just amazing. Li's testimony is so amazingly strong and powerful. Like bro, this dude is just the best. He's completely changed his life to follow God. And he's changed so much, he's just happy.

And I'm happy

And Jesus is happy

There's just so much happiness everywhere. It's pretty great.

Then had a lesson with ่ŒƒๅผŸๅ…„ which was great. And taught come follow me. It was so good. Even though Old Testament be weird sometimes, you can always tie it to gospel principles.

Bye-Bye Ban-Ban. Thursday morning was epic. Aloysious Ho took us and Uncle to Dim Sum. It was so fire. Even though he's leaving for 5 months, I'm hyped to teach him again. He's flippin epic. Then taught English class, and our only student in advanced was a member. But it led to a really awesome convo. Our members are so cool. Got given 2 $10 certificate to a cake shop. Bro just whipped em out of the pocket and said nothing. Goated. Blessed. I love Chinese people. Finished the night with a cheeky Caeser's run.

Pizza Pizza ๐Ÿ˜‰

Apparently Fridays at a community center is like for people who've had strokes, and are getting back to moving. But like, a bunch of them just started talking to us cus we speak the ไธญๆ–‡. They flocked to us, and gave us doughnuts too. How kind :) Again, I love Chinese people. Then we hit up Dim Sum pt. 2, with another friend. Like bro. We are getting more friend meals than member meals. Idk why, but our friends love feeding us. It's actually so blessed. Had a lesson with Tian, who may or may not have gotten humbled by our member. It was up there to the most craziest lessons I've ever been apart of. But he came to church and loved it. sooooo, ๆˆๅŠŸ!Then finished the night off with a lesson with Han. Bruh pulled up drunk. So obviously, we taught him Word of Wisdom. Brotha was shocked. He started asking for our forgiveness, and we were like bro it's chill, you didn't know, but uhhh, go repent to God๐Ÿ‘. We getting him locked though, he should be coming to church for the first time here soon. I still can't believe bro made it home on his bike.

Got home and de-chickened 3 rotisserie chickens. Richmond is the land of just food and missionaries.
(Just in case you wanted to know)

Saturday had our weekly cheeky James lesson. Bro is semi bashing us with the philosophies of men. Like come on. Only scripture. But it's chill, ๆ…ขๆ…ขๆฅ. Had a lesson with Li. Blessed up. Finished the night with Pickleball night.

Sunday was amazing as always. Chenๅชฝๅชฝ✅️. Fire Sunday school and sacrament✅️ gave a fire mini talk ๐Ÿซ  ok, well then, gave a mini talk✅️ but then they said I have to give like a 15 minute talk in two weeks๐Ÿ˜ต‍๐Ÿ’ซ cooked. My Chinese apparently wasn't bad enough to escape it. Rip. Annes back, and had a fire lesson with her✅️ she gets baptized on the 30th, so it's soooo hype.

Monday. Found an awesome new friend named Lily. She wants to come to church. *hooray* Bought a cake for a birthday. Then planned on the 'beach' front. I say 'beach' cus the beaches here are straight buns. But hey, it was still nice. For the beauty of the earth. Then had dinner at ๆ˜“ไผš้•ฟ's house. It was detectible ๐Ÿ˜‹, and his two sons Bobby and Bebe who are my age are straight rotted. Ohh the days. (take me back)

Then today. Chill. Fun. Ate cake. ๐ŸŽ‰. Played Hooser Ball. English Class. Walmart. Li. Elder Goury. Watermelon. Happy ็™ฝ.

Also, next Monday is a special event. If everything goes right, Li can get baptized. So throw up a prayer.

Preesh

"The central purpose of all scripture is to fill our souls with faith in God the Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ—faith that They exist; faith in the Father’s plan for our immortality and eternal life; faith in the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, which animates this plan of happiness; faith to make the gospel of Jesus Christ our way of life; and faith to come to know the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom [He has] sent"

WEEK 36 RICHMOND: The Most Goated Mom

Ya you know what time it is!

It's momma time!

Shoutout to me moother...

Most epic, lit, awesome sauce, fuego, flippin dope, amazing, chilly, bombastic, tuff, goated mom ever ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿฅถ.

And to Kappy and Grandma, also beautiful blessed mothers, who've done the world and more for me.

Then to every other mother. ่ฐข่ฐข! Much thanks to everything all mothers do. Because y'all are actually so amazing. Moms are epic, that's fo sho.

Super grateful that mothers exist. Yk? It's pretty neat how that works out.

Know what else is as goated as my mom?

Ya,

Not this week...

Only because my mom's just the most goated ever, nothing out goats her ๐Ÿ.

But this week was amazing.

We ball out sometimes in the mornings, so that's a fun Richmond thing. But Wednesday was another amazing lesson with Li. It's gotten to the point where members in the ward already think he's a member. Bro is just so amazing. Ran into an inactive member, and into a family traveling from Cali who are members. So kinda cool how God puts us in places we need to be. Had a lesson with ่ŒƒๅผŸๅ…„, who's so awesome. Our member Vivi is actually just the goat. Perfect example of love, share, and invite. I love converts who just love the gospel so much. Sometimes makes me remember how lucky I am that I grew up in it. Finished the night with mango smoothies, and finding some epic people.

Thursday morning we went to Jiang and Coco's. They're so fun to hangout with. We made bag ice cream with them. My hands were shaking, my hands were wet and salty, my hands were frozen cold. But they flippin' loved it. Brought me back to scout era. They also made us some fire food.

Had a super epic moment at English class. Elder Wengert dropped a fire scripture at the very end, then all 4 of us missionaries just ended up teaching all of the students all around. All teaching different things, and the spirit just filled the room. Pretty epic.

Had a super cool lesson with our new friend Linda, then went to a member's house for meal. We're trying to help her son get on a mission. He's 25 and has a desire to serve. Mad respect from me.

Had lunch with our new member on Friday. I told her that I liked spicy. So she prepared two meals. One for Elder Barnes which was "little spice". Then mine... holy spice!!! It was good. But def a test. Don't worry y'all, I finished... most of it. Took home the rest ๐Ÿ˜‰ Then we came back and had a lesson with Tian. Bro is super philosophical, and his brain is wired like that. So it was a very, very... very, very, very interesting lesson. But, we might've got bro locked. We'll see if we can help him understand 'simple' doctrine ๐Ÿ˜…. He's great though. Had a goated lesson with Uncle and Han. So fire!!

Saturday we had our weekly cheeky early morning lesson with James. Brotha needs to get work off so he can go to church. Then had interviews with Prezy. Got on the bus to try and go to McDonalds, but ended up riding like 30 min with our friend. Then had to turn straight around for our lesson with Li. Bro bought us dope rings. He's just dope. Then finished up the evening with Ping Pong, and an amazing lesson with Robbie. It was actually so good. Bro is finally starting to open up more and more. It was a lesson of just us three testifying the whole time. ๅ……ๆปกไบ†่–้ˆ

Sunday was me motha's day. So we visited Chenๅฆˆๅฆˆ, had a goated Sunday service. Made a new friend. Then had a mother's day lunch with the branch. So good, so good. Went to a Chinese market and ran into the two people God needed us to talk to. Love the spirit. Then I, of course, talked to my mom. Cus like, she's just so amazing like that.

Monday was chill. Did math. And planned. And planned.. And planned... huhhhhh, so much planning.....

Finna be a fire week though. Trust.

Then today. Locked in on some ping pong, spikeball, and soccer. In the sun. Getting tan!
ohh wait
There's no such thing as getting tan on the mission
rip

Finished up with a fire English class. But broooo. Linda's going back to China๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ. She is so elect. No worries though, I'll be here when she gets back ;)

So ya, goated week.

And again

Love you Mom!

⚠️This week's quick spirit drop is finna be long, so do with that as you will.

But in PMG there's a 'lil suggested study thing. And it is just write a social media post about what the Restored Gospel means to you.

So I did that. Is it cringy? Ya. Probably. But what can ya do?

Enjoy--

The Restoration of Joy: My Foundation of Faith

When I look at my life, I am incredibly grateful. I've always had a stable family, amazing friends, good schools, plenty of food, lots of trips, played a very costly sport, had multiple great jobs, a perfect place to live, and amazing support for everything I did. I really never had any reason to complain (except 'teenage me' who still found reason to do so) ((sorry mom)) But life was good. Not even that, it was great.
Now I'm sitting in a chair, at "my" desk, in a different country. And I'm here for 2 years. Left that perfect life and doing what some consider, the hardest two years of said life. I wake up way too early every morning for the one purpose of loving others. Serving others. With one message I'm trying to spread, and that is this...

Jesus is the Christ, Our Savior and Redeemer.

Why would I perform this "labour of love"? Because a 14-year-old boy had a question, and kneeled down in a grove. Desiring two things, truth and joy. A message of hope was delivered, and a church was established. Built upon the greatest truth I know. I am a child of a loving Heavenly Father, who knows me perfectly. Through Jesus Christ and His atonement, I can go home.
The Restoration. But not just any Restoration, a Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His Church. The Church of Joy. The Church of New Beginnings. The Church where no one sits alone, and no one walks alone. The true Church of Christ.
It's where I've come to know of the blessings of God. That younger version of myself received so much of The Joy of living His gospel is why I sit here. To give others this message of the Restoration. To give others this message of hope because of His Great Plan Happiness. To know that through a book, all truth can be attained. A book that is plain and precious, even the most true book ever written. That through the Book of Mormon, and a humble heart, a foundation of faith is built. And a faith of Jesus Christ, He who is mighty to save.
It's a message of Joy that I do my very best to spread. A joy I will forever be grateful for. He is my light. He is my best friend. He is Jesus Christ.
In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

WEEK 35 RICHMOND: Nothing As Sweet As Tiny Little Baby Feet

Well, another week down. Living, Laughing, and especially Loving ๐Ÿ˜. Type beat Type beat. This week was superb so lemme tell ya about it.

To start off, being in an English zone/district is weird. Kinda miss Chinese zone, but hey, what can ya do. Well I know. Keep grinding and locking in. But district council was ๅฎŒๅ…จไธไธ€ๆ ท, so it'll be an interesting transfer. But hey who knows, getta learn new things. Hit a cheeky Little Caesars runs. (Glad Canada's at least got something from home) ((Rip Costa)). Had another goated lesson with Li. I usually don't do this, but if ya'll would be willing to throw a prayer his way, it would be much appreciated. Bro is sooooo ready to be baptized. Had a lesson with ่ŒƒๅผŸๅ…„, also goated. Did our first Branch Come Follow Me, and Li even dropped some fire bars.

Goated.

Thursday morning we had a lesson with Aloysious Ho my King. It was so good. He'll be a slow one, but ๆ…ขๆ…ขไพ† was never a bad thing. Had our double English class, always a pleasure. Had a member visit, and got to hangout with the cutest autistic girl. So fire. Tryna help the son get on his mission too, which is lowkey so funny, cus I know exactly how it feels. Like bro, I was in your shoes like a year ago.

Went on first English exchange which was pretty fun. Elder Liechty is goated. We had some fun. We talked to this dope German dude, and bro even pulled up to church, so it was goated. We even got to pull weeds for like 2 hours, so it was pretty fun. Haven't felt the joy of lower back pain in too long. It was so crazy though, we did 4 hours of straight street contacting. I lowkey feel bad for English missionaries in Richmond, cus that's all they do. Got cussed out by a guy on the bus. Lemme tell ya, being a peacemaker is the option. Even though I always win. It's better to let the spirit win. I guess. jk. (Follow Prophets, it's the move). Finished the night of with Basketball night.

Saturday morning we had a cheeky 8am lesson with James, always goated. Got to see the Grandparents. Shoutout Papa  and Kappy, It was so fire!!! Love ya'll!! Crazy to think I've been out for 8 months, and it felt like I just had said goodbye to them. Time be flying by way too fast. Ate dim sum at a friend's house. It's so goated, they feed us like once a week. So blessed!  'nother lesson with Li. Had a fire Jeopardy lesson with Anne. Had pickleball lesson. Then had the most ็–ฏ lesson with our friend Robbie. We ended up getting home 15 minutes past second curfew. It was actually the most insane and fascinating lesson ever. But hopefully we've got him locked, and can start getting him really progressing.

Fast Sunday was goated. Chenๅฆˆๅฆˆed it up. She's amazing. Church was goated. Fasting is always pretty difficult as a missionary, but it's so worth it. The power of fasting is true! Had a surprise friend show up which was a cool miracle. Then finished the night with a member meal. It was so delicious, and had a fire lesson with the kids.

Life is so good

Monday was goated. Had another lesson with Aloysious Ho. Bro said the most fire prayer ever. He called himself stubborn and prideful and asked God to soften his heart. Sooooo, let's go. But B'ros going to China for 6 months. Rip. ๐Ÿ˜ข.  Had another friend meal. Had another math lesson with Annie and Caroline. Holy, kids are crazy sometimes. Hit some cheeky Ping Pong finding. I love Chinese people. And planned.

Also found out I lost my card, and like $100 dollars worth of cash. Actual rip. So tuff.

Today was great. Went to the temple. Always a plus. Hooped and got faded. Then had a baller English class. Met a new friend too who was like super interested in the BoM, and was like, "let's study together." And we were like, 'ight bet.
