WEEK 25 WHITE ROCK: Asian Level Mode Unlocked ๐Ÿฅฑ

God is a God of Miracles

Chat

It's a true statement.

Kind nifty how it all works.

This week was a testemant of that, that's for sure. Lovely week, Lovely People, and a Loving God. What more do you need in life? ๐Ÿ˜

I have officially purchased a brand new sparkling pickleball paddle, and it has gone through much use in the span of 7 days. It is the new finding method, and it is quite a great one. It's fun, it's sucessful, and it's intense. I'm telling you, pickleball is a completely different game when you play it against tournament players. I'm getting taught in the ways. The Asians train me well.
It's also so cool, cus it's like a community, and we pulled up and they accepted us so quick.

Talking to Chinese people is soooooo funnn!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday was DC and pickleball

Thursday was food hampers. Service is just goated. Ya'll should try it, it's good for the soul. Had a language study with Cai ๅ…ˆ็”Ÿ, which was lowkey so good. He's helping me become so "Asian". I am no more ๅค–ๅ›ฝไบบ. Then taught English class which was so amazinlgly awesome sauce. It's actually so much fun. We just laugh the whole time as I fail to teach people the difference between a hamburger and sandwich.

Friday, I got in some piano practice which was incredible. I got asked to play the piano for Jasmine's baptism. So I got to play, which was lovely. Got invited to do a BOM stand with some of the other missionaries. It was so much fun. We just stopped everybody and asked them if they wanted a Book of Mormon. We had like 30 languages on the table, and it was so cool. Me and this one elder handed out like 5 of them, and taught so many mini lessons. It was epic. Then had a lesson with Shaun, the goat. He'll be baptized very soon☺️. Had pickleball activity which was goated.

One of the English elders was on exchanges, Elder Moe, and he may or may not be allergic to shell fish. We offered him some Chinese food, and said it may or may not have been contaminated by shrimp. He said cool, and proceeded to eat it. 20 seconds later, bros mouth was swollen like crazy. I literally had the keys ready to take him to the hospital, but he ended up surviving. It was lowkey so funny๐Ÿ˜‚
Bro also tried his first ever Reeses. Priceless reaction.

Go eat a Reeses, it doesn't give you cancer, I promise

Saturday, we hit up some more pickelball. ๆ…ขๆ…ขไพ† becoming Asian level. Met some really cool/interesting people in Surrey. (The spirit world will be a good change of pace for them) and played some more piano.

Sunday was goated as always! Bella pulled up, and again, didn't even have to do anything cus the members snatched her right up. Blessed. It was ward conference, so Chinese group was with the English group, and we had to do live translations. It was pretty fun, and hecka Gift of Tongues clutch up. Had Jasmine's baptism which was so much fun. Then pulled up to McDonalds for language study, but ran into one of our friends Andrew who we met last transfer. He was with his friend Eric, so we met him, (just wait for later).

Monday we had English class, which was gooooaaatteeeedddd. I just love this. Can't say it enough. Then played pickleball for a long time, and met this older couple, who are pretty interested, so that was a cool miracle. Then went and played Chinese Go Chess. And I beat 2 eleven-year-old Chinese boys (let's just say Humble Elder Baird was pretty proud of that) Then had a member meal. Also blessed. Then ran into Aubrey at the library who's just amazing, and it was so good to talk to her. (She's the one me and elder On found, but had to pass to the English elders. But her baptism is March 8th!!!) She's just the best

Then today was pretty epic. Went thrifting and pulled some heat stuff. Tonight we had to finish weekly planning and we were like where should we go? And Elder Fankhauser was like, Semiahamoo Library. I was like sure, it's whatever (cus we had been there last night), but we pulled up and finished planning. Then Eric walked in with his family. We said hi, and continued on with the work. Then out of nowhere I feel a tap on my shoulder, and look up and it's Erics dad. Bro was like, "My son told me you are missionary work for China, can you come talk to us". And we were like bet. So we spent the next two hours talking to them, and basically taught them every principle, and it was just such a cool miracle. They are already super Christian, but hopefully we can get them to the right church๐Ÿ˜‰

It was just so cool to see how everything had to work out for us to meet that family today. Like it's just so crazy. God literally started this miracle a month ago, and has guided us to that perfect moment when we got to talk with them.

So blessed indeed

So overall such an epic week!

Lowkey though, this week was so much fun and amazing, but I don't think I've ever felt Satan trying to get at me more. Bro really doesn't want me doing this work, but I'm just so grateful for the Holy Ghost, and this Gospel. Like I could totally feel the despair and darkness, but it could never break through. When we keep our covenants. When we follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, the adversary has no influence over us. He can try, but all he gets is a crushed head. There's just too much joy and light in the gospel to not say YES!

So say YES! Choose Jesus. It's pretty neat. You can say it is quite "Blessed"

WEEK 24 WHITE ROCK: Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat?

Litty Chilly, whatup gang?

Truly a blessed week indeed. And very much a fed week.

Starting off Wednesday, we had DC, hit up the "Hospice Thrift Store"... rip... during lunch hour. Found a goated goose tie. Turning Canadian frfr. Then met Jim at the library and chatted it up. Slowly sneaking in gospel principles, so we finna get him soon, trust.

Thursday had the weekly service. Again, truly a joyful and much fulfilling experience. It's also funny, cus we are slowly making it up the "in charge" ladder, because we do a lot of work. And the person who runs it keeps putting us in charge of more and more things. Extra brownie points ig ๐Ÿคท‍♂️. Then had English class!! Bella came too and loved it! She's the goat! Then had a surprise memeber meal with Brother Sherwin. Brotha made a delectable shepherd's pie and chocolate cake. Also, bros scripture ball knowledge is out of this world. He's such a spirit filled guy and I wanna be like him when I grow up๐Ÿ˜Š Nah but fr, he's awesome. He also showed us the Book of Lehi that he's been writing. Quite ๅ…ด่ถฃ. Finished off the night with cockroach poker

Friday we had the first ever Chinese zone conference. It was pretty solid. I was sad because we didn't get to see all the English homies. But Chinese zone is blessed, so it's chill. Also got to see some elders who've been banished to the boonies. So it was good to see them again. Shoutout ๅซ,้บฆ,ๆˆด。Goats fr. But continued to grow my love for having this opportunity to serve the Chinese speaking people in Canada. Then had pickleball, and hung out with Mark.

❤️❤️❤️
Happy ๆƒ…ไบบ่Š‚
❤️❤️❤️

Got to help a member move. So that was super fun. Good workout too. Then had a "lesson" with our buddy Ken. Turned out to be a 2 hour talk about some crazy random stuff, but also talked about the BOM, so it was chilly. Then got invited by a brother in the ward to go to White Spot. So goated, and such good food. There's so many cool people in the world, and I love that I get to meet so many everyday.

Sunday was epic, even though we had a whopping 0 friends pull up to church. ๆ˜ฅ็ฏ€be like. But it was still epic. Then had a member meal, which again, was blessed and delicious. After that we got invited to a ๆ˜ฅ็ฏ€ๆดพๅฐ. It was so much fun. Chinese New Year parties are truly much more epic than American New Year's parties. Also Shaun was there. First time meeting him in person, but he's so cool. And his dad was visiting from Hong Kong, and got to talk with him for like an hour. So dope. Got to eat way too much food, epecially after a memebr meal, and gotta play pool. So it was quite awesome sauce.

Monday was truly crazy flippin awesome. Had a couple bap interviews for some sisters friend. Both passed, and are ready to be bapped. They're awesome! Got to play the piano for like 30 min. It was very lovely. Also got to talk to one of the sister's friend, who I didn't realize wasn't a member. But talked to him for like an hour and I wanna teach him now. He's sooooo cool. And the sisters were like "what the, he never wants to talk to us" so uhhh, send me to Langley ig.

On a side note, the gift of tongues is sooooo dope. I've gotten to the point where I can hold an hour plus convos completely in Chinese, and it's just so amazing that God has helped me so much with the language. Truly ้€š่ฟ‡็ฅž็š„ๅŠ›้‡

But after that, we came back and had another member lunch with this 100 year old lady, who also turns out to be the goat. She's so cool. Brother Sherwin was also there, so we had some epic convos. Then had a lesson with Shaun, and it couldn't have gone any better. Bro said he wants to, and is excited to be baptized! And he's praying for a date!!! It's so cool, and such an amazing miracle! Apparently he's been being taught for so long, so it's awesome. And he might be able to be baptized by his dad while he's still in Canada!!! #Blessed๐Ÿ™. It was also Shaun's birthday, so we went and bought him a cake and doughnuts. Love being able to put smiles on people's faces ๐Ÿ˜

Today was also epic. Got a haircut. ⚠️CAUTION - DON'T USE INCHES, CANADIANS DON'T UNDERSTAND!⚠️
I was like yo, take an inch off. Then bro started cutting, and I realized I made a bid mistake.... and it's the second time it's happened too๐Ÿ˜‚. Let's just say it's pretty short.
But after that we went and played pickleball with some of the missionaries in the district. Got a new pickleball paddle, so I'm dialed in for the new finding method.

So overall, Goated Week. So blessed. And enjoyed much food.

In regards to the title of the email - here's Alma 13: 31-32

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 For your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Ain't that a pretty neat promised blessing? I find it quite neat and quite amazing. God knows what we need. So why do we worry so much? When we give everything to God, He takes care of the "Everything" we give Him. And gives us "Everything" in return. A small example of the truthfulness was this week. We got fed. It might not seem like a lot, but God's always watching out for His Disciples.

Pretty neat indeed

So wholesome
This place is full of Chinese people and I love it ๐Ÿ˜

WEEK 23 WHITE ROCK: Jesus Class

I've decided, next time I play a video game. I'm picking the Jesus Class. Might be the most OP class to pick.

This week was amazing as always, and I am indeed loving, living, and laughing

Wednesday consisted of an epic DC, tis gonna be a blessed district this transfer. Got lunch from a member. Had another English conversation talk lesson ่Š่Šๅคฉๅคฉ i don't even know what to call it with Jim. Then finished off the night with a member meal with the Bishop's parents. They were epic, and had a dope convo with them.

Thursday was a happy day indeed. Food hampers. Honestly goated. We were like the only missionaries there so we were put to work. I love it. Service is one of the ways I get to find the most joy in my life. Like, putting a smile on someone's face is just so rewarding. Had another language class with Cai ๅ…ˆ็”Ÿ, which is so goated, cus like I learned about a bunch of the stuff in school, but now I actually care more about learning it ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚.  English class was epic. Explaning the difference between a hamburger and a sandwhich might have been the hardest thing I've done yet on my mission. Then had a miracle lesson with Shaun!

Friday did the typical meet-and-greet social hour. And had the coolest miracle ever. A girl walked in named Bella. Talked to her, and she was like woooahhhh you speak Chinese. Then she came to church, and said she wants to learn more. Like bro, she literally got off the boat last week, and God put her in the right place at the right time. Then had our last lesson with ๅฎ‹ๅ”ๅ”๐Ÿฅน I've grown to love this man. At first, I was ๅฎŒๅ…จๅฌไธๆ‡‚, like he had the craziest dialect accent and I could not understand. But the gift of tongues is real, and now I can have full conversations with him, but he's gone..... Forever.... I was so sad, to say goodbye. But on the drive home I had the coolest feeling of peace ever. God was like, don't worry, I got him. So blessed.

Once upon a time me and Elder On met this girl named Aubrey. She was just walking by and we talked to her, got her number, then set up a bible study with her. She was so prepared. Everything led her to find us, but most importantly find God. She was a really strong Catholic. But we passed her to the English elders, and they've been teaching her. Throughout all this we've still kept in contact with her, and it's been so cool to see her progression. Tonight we found out she's on date for March 8th, and is making the necessary sacrifices to get to it. It's been the coolest thing I've seen on my mission, and I'm just so happy.

Saturday we got to be travelling performing missionaries. We got invited to Richmond's ๆ˜ฅ่Š‚ festival. It was epic, we had a couple friends come. And did the lion dance again. Did everything go wrong? yup. Did we make a baby cry? yup. Was it still awesome sauce? Also yup.

Church was blessed. Song Shu Shu came, (bro said he was leaving the day before) but is now leaving today (Tuesday). So I got to actually see him one last time. Bella came, and the sisters in the group instantly adopted her. I love this Chinese group so much! We got to teach primary for second hour, and ended up teaching these two young boys. We were expaining how we take Jesus' name upon us. So as a good missionary does, we tied it to Roblox. 'Enter the Jesus Class'. Jesus is the most epic character, and when you pick your class, you try to fulfill everything that class/character is supposed to do. (See where we're going)((pretty epic huh)) So pick the Jesus Class, and try to do everything you can to fulfill that role. ๐Ÿ˜

Yesterday was the finding day. Did so much of it. Lemme tell ya, I love talking to Chinese people

They are so cool

Today. Temple. = blessed and happy Elder Baird. If you haven't. Try going. It's pretty epic. Then made some epic social media post vids. Stay tuned.

Week: Jesus is King/10

A motto I've lived my life with is "No Regrets"

Life Life with No Regrets

No matter what you're doing, do it with a full purpose of heart, and 100% effort.

There're two things in life you can control, attitude and effort. And that's all God asks of us. Give Him your best effort, give Him your best attitude. Follow my commandments, Love God and Love His children.

It's how I want to live my mission. Live it with no regrets. Give it my all, give it to Him. It's His work, and I'm privleged to be apart of it. I'm eternally grateful I get to be apart of it. I've never been more joyful and happy in my life. So I wanna give it everything, and know that when I'm finished, God will be proud of my efforts.

Life is so much more joyful when you live it with no regrets. Whether it's school, sports, career, or just being you.

Live Life with No Regrets

WEEK 22 WHITE ROCK: Coven Tongues Like as of Fire

God is good

Mission is good

Life is good

Can't ask for much more ๐Ÿ˜

This week has been pretty epic though, that's pho sho!

Last Wednesday, we met with Rebecca and her husband. And an "English class" which lowkey just turned into all of us yapping for 2 hours. Pretty lit. Then hit up a final White Rock missionary dinner, this time with an extra set of missionaries. So it was pretty flippin' awesome. Also got to jam out on the grand p. So that was a blessing. There ain't nothing better than a good sounding piano.

Thursday me and Elder On locked in on Food Hampers. Because it was transfer day, none of the other missionaries were able to pull up, so we were there for a long time, but it's good and fun work. Love getting to help make people's days better. Then we waited for the transfer bus to pull up, and we were able to talk to a lot of the missionaries here. So many goated peeps. Had another epic English class. And got fed two meals.

Friday was crazy. Started off normal. Hit up the meet and greet at the library. But, because it was raining, and Chinese people dislike the rain, there were none there. But nevertheless we are commanded to talk to everyone. So that's what we did. There was a 1000 piece puzzle chilling that was about 80% done, so we hopped on that. While we did it, we talked it up with a lady. An hour later she was out of there. Then started talking to another lady, who just moved from Arizona. Apparently she is a LA, but has had a really bad rep with the church cus of some previous husband relationships. She's super awesome though, and it was cool talking to her. 4 hours and a completed puzzle later, we went home for lunch. That's where disaster struck...

We were given food from a member, and it was super boujee. Lobster and a 6 course meal. So I was making leftovers. Putting the food on my plate to reheat it. As one does. But my darn coat, and because of the tiny kitechen we have, I knocked the plate over and that thing literally exploded. I've never seen something shatter into more pieces Then I had to throw a bunch of it away cus there were glass shards in it. But that's not all. We then left to a lesson, and when we showed up, bro had got up and walked out of the house 5 minutes before we came. Like the family didn't even know. Finally, the APs called us and was like yo, we here to pick up Elder On. It was tragic, the transfer was supposed to happen Saturday, but stuff happened. So Elder On just disappeared, never to be seen again...

Enter Elder Fankhauser

He's the goat. So it's chill.

Saturday...top 5 day of the mish. Hit up Costco with the quad. Lemme tell ya, going to Costco when you've got lots of money, and it's not technically yours, is super dangerous. Especially when I'm the one doing it :)

But then.... The Party ㊗️๐Ÿ‰๐ŸŽ†๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ‘ฏ‍♂️

ๆ˜ฅ่Š‚

It was epic. It was so much fun. We were expecting about 100 people. We had like 150. We had so many friends pull up, and there was enough food!!! Lowkey was worried, but the Lord provided. It was also such a miracle. The gift of tongues is so true. My Chinese was on locks for the entire night. I've never felt more confident, and it was so cool to see all the things I've heard and learned just be used. God was blessing me frfr. Locked in on the lion dance. 4 white boys doing it, gotta love it. We even got invited to other Chinese new year party to perform there. So it's pretty lit.

It truly was a #blessed evening, and one to remember.

February 2026 unlocked. Church was amazing as always. Also got to teach second hour gospel principles. It went as far off planned as possible. But a great lesson none-the-less. Elder Fanky did a bap interview up in Burnaby. And it was so fun to see all the Burnaby member I met in my first transfer. Then had an amazing member meal, and they invited the English elder's friend, Aubrey, who's the goat. Me and Elder On found her, and she's so awesome. And the memebers have basically adopted her, so that's even more epic.

Yesterday had a goated English class. And a random lady pulled up who saw it on facebook. And I basically told her our whole purpose about missionaries, and a bunch of other principles about our church. It was such a cool miracle. Elder Fankhausers is also an insane cook, so we've been fine dinning here in White Rock. Then pulled up to a Chinese chess/checker activity. 2 white boys walking in speaking Chinese. Let's just say they were a little confused, but quite impressed,

Then today, 18 holes this morning. I'm getting pretty cracked at golf. Def didn't expect this talent to emerge on the mission, but it's been really fun. Then played basketball and pickleball the rest of the day. As well as some evening Pros.

Goated week as you can see

Jesus be dropping banger bars fr

Mark 5:36

"Be not afraid, only Believe"

Don't really need to expound or talk about it that much.

That right there is an eternal teaching. An lifelong truth. The key to never ending happiness.

How many times do we let life's problems or challenges become the main focus of our lives. How many times do the small thing become the biggest problems. How often are we scared.

I know in my life, I've done it all. And I'm an 18-year-old kid who honestly doesn't know what he's doing.

But living by this principle has brought me emense joy.

"Be not afraid, only Believe"

Jesus created this earth. He is our mediator. He knows everything. So if He's telling us not to be afraid, then that's something I'm gonna do. There's a lot of life I have no control over. But believing is something I can do. So that's what I choose to do. And when I believe, I don't ever have to worry. Just joy

So believe

Be not afraid

Because Jesus is King

Love ya'll
