New city alert!
I'm in White Rock now. Let's just say opening an area is... fun?
But real talk, it's been great. Elder On is actually the goat. Me and him are having so much fun together. He's a real chilla. Since were opening this area, it's definitely a switch up from Vancouver. In Van we always had stuff going on. Here, we got really nothing. So we've been locked in on knocking, puplic contacting, and member work. It's a little boring at times, but that's why we got companions, cus it makes those times fun.
Last day in Van was super chill. We played basketball, then had our english class christmas party. We had like 20 peaople pull up, so that was super epic and we had a lot of fun. This english class thing is popping off there in Van, so hopefully when I head back it'll be preatty epic.
Transfer day happened. Met Elder On, and headed to the area. The apartment we staying at is super big and super nice, so that's lowkey blessed. Then we got blaze pizza! So goated! Shout out Gibb. We'll hit it up soon. Met the other elders we livin with, and holy they chill too. It's lowkey kinda crazy, we just have so much fun ever night. I might need to lock in on going to bed on time

The rest of the week nothing crazy happened. Just the regular missionary work. We've talked to a lot of people and have taught a couple of lessons. We're here at white rock because the other Chinese sisters that are here are crazy busy. So they've given us a few of their friends to teach. And they're super awesome. The sad thing is, is like every chinese person right now is εε½ing, so they all just heading back to china. It's kinda unlucky, but we ball. I do love this area though because it's just houses and neighborhoods. No city are big buiildings. Lowkey feels like I'm back in Utah. But super boujee houses. And the people here are actually nice
. It's nice to say hi, or even smile to someone, and them returning the gesture.
. It's nice to say hi, or even smile to someone, and them returning the gesture. Sunday we did get invited to a Fillipino party, and let me just say, those Fillipino's know how to throw a party. So much food, such aweosme people, and so much fun. (They know the way to a missionaries heart :)
Life's goated. Merry Christmas everyone! It's a little sad to be away for the holidays, but I've just been having way too much fun to be actually sad. This time of the year is so goated. Christmas is just so epic, and I love it. Jesus Christ is the reason, Jesus is Him.
okok listen up. All the credit to my man Elder Brendan Jones for hitting the people with this BANGER!!!
(I had to use it bro, it's just too good.)
This excerpt comes straight from his email a couple weeks ago:
:Today I want to share something from this book I've been reading called Believing Christ by Stephen E. Robinson. It's supposed to be a conversation between you personally and Christ about the atonement:
-But why would You do this for me?
-Because I love you.
-But it doesn't seem fair.
-That's right. It's not fair at all - it's merciful. It is, after all, a gift.
-But how can I possibly deserve such a gift?
-Don't be silly. You can't. You don't. This gift is offered because I love you and want to help you, not because I owe it to you.
-But how can I ever repay You?
-There you go again. Don't you get it yet? You can't repay me, not you or all the billions like you. Gifts of this magnitude can never be repaid. For what I've done out of love for you, you can only love me back, and seek to become what I am - a giver of good gifts.
This is my personnel excerpt:
The atonment of Jesus Christ is a gift. He is the Giver off Good Gifts. I read this and it just hit. Like this is sooooo goooood, and sooooo true. How many times do turn down is grace and mercy because we have the thought of "we're not good enough", or "we don't deserve it", or "maybe i'm the exception". The atonment isn't for the righteous and the perfect. If it was, what would be the point? It's for the unrighteous, it's for the people that hit rock bottom, it's for the people who are as far from perfect as can be. So guess what? That's all of us. None of us are perfect and that's why Jesus Christ, You're Savior, Died for You. It's the gift we never deserved, but we all need. And all He asks for in return, is that we Love Him. Accept the gift. And try our best. It's so cool to think, that we've all been given the best gift ever, and all He asks is that we accept it, so then He can continue to bless us and give us more gifts.
That's why Christmas is awesome. Because Jesus Christ is the giver of good gifts, and the gift of the world.
Truly
Merry Christmas!
I love ya'll so much, each one of ya'll is a gift in my life ;)
